Job Description:

* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs. * Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses. * Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. * Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. * Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. * Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skills required to work in critical care area as defined by unit [Required]

• Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills [Required]

• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs [Required]

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]

• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills [Required]

• Organizational skills, ability to prioritize [Required]

• Personal qualities such as kindness, compassion, understanding, integrity, respect, sense of humor, discretion, and confidentiality [Required]

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures [Required]

• EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements) [Required]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years Critical Care RN experience required
