Co-op City, Bronx, NY | 2026–2027 School Year Cross Country Education is seeking dedicated and engaging Middle Schol science Teachers to join a respected charter school in Co-op City, Bronx, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. We have multiple openings for educators with experience teaching Middle school science. Location: a Charter school in Co-op City, Bronx, NY Assignment Dates: August 17, 2026 – June 25, 2027 42.5 hours per week - 2.5 hours overtime weekly Compensation: $40/hour on W‑2 (paid weekly) Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance that is with you year‑round Open Teaching Assignments 7th Grade Science 8th Grade Science Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards‑based Science instruction to high school students Develop lesson plans aligned with New York State learning standards Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student achievement Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Assess student progress and utilize data to drive instructional decisions Communicate regularly with students, families, and school staff regarding academic progress Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to improve student outcomes Maintain accurate student records and fulfill all school documentation requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field Valid New York State teaching certification in Mathematics preferred Previous experience teaching high school mathematics preferred Transcripts showing minimum 12 credits in undergrad math required for non‑licensed candidates Strong classroom management and instructional skills Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities Experience in a charter school setting is a plus Why Cross Country Education?
