Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire Position Overview
Seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer I to support industrial HVAC engineering and design projects across chemical, manufacturing, and industrial facilities. This entry-level role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to develop technical expertise in HVAC systems while working under the guidance of senior engineers in a collaborative environment. Core Responsibilities
- Assist in HVAC system design for industrial facilities
- Support development of ventilation and pressurization systems for process areas
- Perform basic heating and cooling load calculations
- Assist in equipment selection and sizing
- Prepare and update engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Support evaluation of existing systems and recommend improvements
- Participate in field visits, data collection, and drawing verification
- Coordinate with internal teams and contribute to project deliverables
- Dust collection systems
- Plumbing systems (water, wastewater, stormwater)
- Fire protection fundamentals
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 14 years of HVAC design experience (internships/co-ops considered)
- EIT certification preferred or willingness to pursue
- Basic knowledge of HVAC principles and mechanical codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, OSHA)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; exposure to Revit/Navisworks is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
