Our founder, Dr. Manju Dawkins, is a physician and mother who witnessed firsthand the fear and pain needles cause in patients and families. Despite her medical training, she found the existing solutions to be limited, inaccessible, and not designed with patients in mind. That personal experience inspired Thimble’s mission: to relieve the pain and fear of needles so people can get the care they need without hesitation. Our Needle Care System™ combines the FDA-listed Prepare Patch with the Recover Patch (which does not require FDA listing), along with digital, research-backed psychological tools to support patients before, during, and after procedures. This comprehensive approach improves comfort, increases adherence, and strengthens outcomes across consumer, clinical, and public health settings. With patents pending, strong clinical validation, and early traction in both D2C and B2B markets, Thimble Health is building a more compassionate and accessible healthcare experience, one where needle pain and fear no longer stand in the way of care. Job Summary Thimble Health is seeking accomplished physicians, healthcare executives, and industry leaders to serve as Strategic Board Members . This role is ideal for individuals passionate about improving patient experience, supporting clinical innovation, and helping bring mission-driven health products to market. Strategic Board Members will advise on go-to-market expansion, support commercialization strategies, and help cultivate distribution channels across clinical practices, specialty clinics, and enterprise healthcare organizations. Why This Board, Why Now We’re at an inflection point at Thimble. We’ve proven product–market fit and clear demand. We now need capital to scale manufacturing and to accelerate distribution and awareness. Because of that, we are building a small, action‑oriented Clinical Health Advisory Board of leaders who: Are deeply mission‑aligned around changing the standard of care for needle procedures Are already well‑positioned in the healthcare ecosystem (health systems, payors, large employers, etc.) Are in a financial and life position to invest in the solutions they want to see in the world Our expectation is that board members are both: Active champions – opening doors into health systems, using their voice and platform to elevate Thimble, and helping us meaningfully shift clinical practice and standard of care. Investors – taking a meaningful equity stake in the company so that our incentives are aligned and we’re building this together. In this round, that typically looks like a ~$50K investment. Right now the opportunity for the right people is to “pour gasoline on an existing fire” — to accelerate a product that already works and is loved, while using your expertise and position in healthcare to help rewrite the standard of care for needle procedures. Key Responsibilities Advise on Go-to-Market Strategy: Offer guidance on commercial strategy, product positioning, and pathways to adoption across clinical specialties. Support Distribution & Practice Partnerships: Provide insights and introductions that accelerate product integration into clinics, health centers, and specialty practices. Guide Market Expansion: Help evaluate opportunities across pediatrics, dermatology, fertility/OB-GYN, endocrinology, rheumatology, aesthetics, IV therapy, family medicine, and related fields. Contribute to Strategic Decision-Making: Share high-level perspectives on scaling, commercialization, operations, and clinical workflow alignment. Champion Innovation in Clinical Settings: Advocate for patient-centered technologies that reduce fear, improve adherence, and enhance outcomes across the care continuum. As an Advisory Board Member, You Will Support Thimble’s mission to make needle procedures less painful for patients, caregivers, and healthcare workers . Influence product direction, commercialization strategy, and clinical integration. Help shape partnerships with providers, specialty clinics, distributors, and healthcare networks. Participate in discussions around strategic growth and mission-aligned investment. Ideal Candidates We welcome interest from leaders with backgrounds in: Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Dermatology OB-GYN & Fertility, Endocrinology, Rheumatology Hematology-Oncology, Infusion & IV Therapy, Wellness Clinics Medical Directors, Practice Owners, Clinical Operators Healthcare executives (strategy, innovation, patient experience) Individuals with experience in scaling health products or advising early-stage companies (Needles are used in every specialty, so the role is inclusive across clinical disciplines.) Required Experience 10+ years of experience in clinical care, healthcare operations, commercialization, or medical leadership A track record of strategic or advisory contributions in healthcare Familiarity with patient experience, care delivery, or value-based care frameworks Interest in supporting innovative solutions that improve access and adherence Why Join Thimble Health?
