We are hiring an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our removal defense practice in San Diego. This is a role for a litigator at heart—someone who loves being in Immigration Court and thrives on every stage of defending clients, from the first master calendar hearing through individual merits hearings and appeals. Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Serve as Attorney Team Lead for our removal defense practice, including supervising and mentoring more junior attorneys.
\n
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court (EOIR), including master calendar, individual merits hearings, and bond hearings.
\n
• Represent clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
\n
• Practice before the Federal District Court on petitions for writs of habeas corpus, writs of mandamus, and Administrative Procedure Act (APA) actions.
\n
• Prepare and file persuasive briefs, motions, and applications for relief.
\n
• Develop case strategies and guide clients through every stage of the removal defense process.
\n
• Communicate directly with Spanish-speaking clients regarding their cases.
\n
• Stay current on evolving immigration law and court procedures.
\n
• Teach in-house seminars relevant to removal defense issues.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and admission to a state bar in good standing.
\n
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience practicing in Immigration Court, with a strong removal defense track record.
\n
• A genuine passion for litigation and the courtroom.
\n
• Fluency in Spanish (required).
\n
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
\n
• Experience mentoring junior attorneys and paralegals.
\n
