Value Stream Manager

Job DescriptionJob Description Position SummaryThe Value Stream Manager ? Mining/ITF/Lam is responsible for the production of all fabrics produced in the Lamination department along with all products created in the Mining and ITF department. This is a senior-level operations role focused on maximizing the performance of the value stream by applying lean principles along with the ABC business system to drive operational excellence, safety, quality, and productivity. Core ResponsibilitiesMaximize Value Stream PerformanceImplement and sustain lean conversion principles to meet customer requirements and achieve business results.Operational ExcellenceOptimize production workflows, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across the value streamContinuous ImprovementLead and participate in process improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, or ABC methodologies.Team LeadershipManage and develop production or quality teams, ensuring high performance, safety compliance, and a culture of continuous improvement.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with engineering, quality, supply chain, and other departments to align processes and meet customer demands.Data-Driven Decision MakingMonitor and analyze production or laboratory data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.Compliance & SafetyEnsure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.Cost & EfficiencyIdentify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability Additional ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all hiring decisions made in Mining/ITF/Lam/Weft and effectively communicating with Human Resources concerning all hiring needs.Reports out all KPI metrics in weekly GEMBA walks and as requested by leadership.Schedules shipments and is responsible for communicating ship dates to appropriate departments.Collaborate with Maintenance supervisor to develop a robust TPM program.Properly allocates direct reports in appropriate areas as needed to maintain productivity needsOrders supplies and maintenance items for all departments and works with Purchasing on completing purchasing requisitionsAny and all further tasks as requested by Management Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or educational equivalent required.5+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentLean Manufacturing experience preferred. Knowledge and SkillsMicrosoft Office (Excel Word, Outlook, etc.)Mechanical natureAbility to operate heat sealers, fabric winders, and various other critical equipmentKnowledge of OSHA rules and regulationsForklift certified or able to be certified within 30 days after hire.

Physical RequirementsThis position requires frequent sitting, standing for 8 or more hours a day.
