Accounting Manager

Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Florence, SC. This role supports the finance and accounting department in managing the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions for the cooperative and its family of for-profit subsidiary entities. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, comfort navigating both cooperative (patronage-based) and for-profit accounting frameworks, and the organizational skill to manage consolidated and standalone financial reporting across a multiple legal entities.The role also involves working closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors, maintaining internal controls, and supporting process improvements across the finance function. Qualifications Strong financial reporting skills, including experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules. Proficiency in core accounting activities such as journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and fixed asset accounting. Demonstrated analytical skills and finance knowledge to interpret financial data, support budgeting, and inform business decisions. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, and solid skills in spreadsheet and data analysis tools. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is required. Prior experience in an accounting leadership role, ideally within utilities, cooperatives, or related industries. Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes, with attention to accuracy and compliance. Effective communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site. #J-18808-Ljbffr
