Behavioral Health Technician

Right Side Up is a long-term residential treatment program for women with children. We are currently hiring for full time, part time & PRN Behavioral Health Techs.

The position of Behavioral Health Tech at MARR has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women who have been affected by the disease of addiction. The position is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team that ensures the safety & wellbeing of our patients & their children.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure a safe and supportive environment; respond to safety concerns with proper inspections and documentation

• Monitor residents in a substance abuse recovery setting, observing and documenting behavior and progress

• Schedule activities and appointments; assist with daily living skills

• Transport clients to support meetings (e.g., AA/NA)

• Assist with client intake and post-admission support

• Document maintenance requests and conduct housekeeping inspections

• Supervise and support program participants during activities

• Track and manage clients' personal belongings, including funds and cards

• Communicate client needs to program staff and relay staff updates to residents as well as contribute to treatment team decisions and share relevant client information

• Promote a positive, supportive therapeutic approach

• Work collaboratively with the team, ensuring flexibility to meet client and program needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 21 years old

• Clean motor vehicle record

• Experience working with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders or relevant training preferred
