Senior Collections Specialist

A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to join its Finance team. This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts receivable, partnering with attorneys and internal stakeholders to drive collection efforts, resolve payment issues, and support the firm's overall financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and monitor assigned client accounts and aging receivables.
• Partner with attorneys and practice groups to develop collection strategies and action plans.
• Communicate directly with clients to facilitate timely payment of outstanding invoices.
• Provide reporting, documentation, and account analysis as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of collection activities and payment follow-up efforts.
• Research, analyze, and resolve client deductions, payment discrepancies, and unapplied credits.
• Collaborate with Billing, Collections, and Finance teams on receivables management and special projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of collections experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience communicating with attorneys, partners, and clients preferred.
• Experience with Aderant, Elite, and/or e-Billing systems is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary up to $105,000
• Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week in office
