Join our dynamic team at WCS Healthcare Partners as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in Patchogue, NY. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to adult patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVOR, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Assist in various cardiovascular procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), aortic aneurysm repair, and valve replacement surgeries.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac status, utilizing advanced cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications and blood products as required, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in code response and emergency situations, providing critical support and intervention.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the Epic charting system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a cardiovascular setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Must hold a valid NY State nursing license.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required, with medical exemptions only.
• Must be available for shifts that could be 7a–7:30p, 11a–11:30p, or 8 hours 7a–3p.
