A day on B Shift

On our B Shift (6:00 am–6:30 pm, rotating days), you’ll be the guardian of product quality on the production floor. From first bell to shift handoff, you’ll review product specifications, sample materials and in‑process work, and perform routine checks, tests, and instrumented measurements that keep 24/7 operations running at peak performance.

What you’ll do

• Perform routine checks, gauging, and instrument-based inspections on incoming materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
• Read and interpret product specifications; verify conformance using rulers and other tools to 1/16 of an inch.
• Document results through data entry and simple production reports; communicate findings to operators and supervisors.
• Partner with machine operators to validate dimensional quality in a production environment.

What you bring

• Age 18+; high school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year as a Quality Inspector OR as a Machine Operator performing dimensional quality checks in production (flexible packaging industry preferred).
• Working knowledge of quality assurance, manufacturing environments, equipment, and processes; ability to understand product specifications.
• Comfort with measurement to 1/16 inch using rulers; solid basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 40 lbs without assistance.
• Comfort bending, crouching, walking, standing, pushing, and sitting throughout the shift.
• Ability to speak and understand verbal instructions in English; read and write in English to follow work orders and prepare simple reports.
• Near and mid‑range vision; capability for data entry, keyboarding, talking, hearing, and detailed hand movements.
