Operators are also tasked with inspecting finished products for quality, and ensuring all work is completed on time following safety protocol.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Operates various lasers.Reads blueprints and/or work orders to determine product or work instructions specifications.Loads parts per a program and/or work instructions to create desired results.Cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment and fixtures.Performs required documentation/clocking procedures as parts are produced.Transfers components, products, or assemblies to the proper storage type as stated in the work instructions or job traveler.Inspects and measures completed parts using: calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and go/no go gauges.Collaborates with team members and leads to meet production goals.Minimum Qualifications:Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 1-year experience in a manufacturing environmentSkills:Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other drawing aidsAbility to follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to efficiently manage time to meet production deadlines.Maintain a level of accuracy and quality in all final products.Ability to communicate with team members and leads to share updates on machine performance and production progress.Physical and Mental Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands and fingers, handle, touch objects, tools and controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Working Environment:Work is performed in an office and manufacturing plant environment. Employee will be required to wear all required personal protective equipment when on the manufacturing floor.
