Key Responsibilities of the Dietitian

• Provide medical nutrition therapy services to clients/patients/residents of all ages
• Determine nutritional status through comprehensive nutritional assessments
• Develop and implement personalized care plans and nutrition therapy
• Educate and counsel clients on disease and nutrition risk management
• Evaluate outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions
• Optimize self-management education for chronic condition care
• Work on nutrition care protocols and lead the healthcare team in implementation

Requirements of the Dietitian

• MN state license required
• BSN not required
• BLS Certification
