Empower young learners and make a meaningful difference by supporting K-2 students in an educational setting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in specialized environments and values individualized attention. The role is part-time (7 hours per week), providing flexibility while allowing you to focus your expertise on a small caseload of nine students.
Work alongside a collaborative team, enhance communication skills for early learners, and benefit from a supportive orientation process scheduled from August 12th to 14th. Candidates must be available for onsite work and will serve in a specialized district dedicated to exceptional student support. Talented Clinical Fellows (CF) eager to grow in their practice are encouraged to apply, provided strong foundational skills and a commitment to learning are demonstrated.
Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license in Illinois
- Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
- Ability to provide proof of active credentials (screenshot required with application)
- Accepting both experienced SLPs and strong clinical fellows (CF) applicants
- Commitment to onsite work with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Experience in school-based settings, particularly with younger learners, preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech-language services to K-2 students in a small group and individualized format
- Conduct assessments, develop, and interpret IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and paraprofessionals
- Track and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Participate actively in new hire orientation and ongoing professional collaboration
