Job Summary Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum) needed in Houston, TX. The position is a 1099 engagement covering travel, lodging and malpractice. Competitive rates quoted post-HCA name clearance are permitted by the inquiring physician. Acquire your IMLC and work in Texas. Key Responsibilities Provide emergency care for 45-47K patient visits annually at a Level IV trauma center. Perform admissions with a 23% admit rate. Cover scheduled shifts: 6am‑4pm, 10am‑8pm, 3pm‑1am, 8pm‑6am for physicians; 6am‑6pm, 10am‑8pm, 6pm‑6am for APPs. Use MediTech EMR system. Qualifications Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Emergency Medicine; providers grandfathered in ABEM are acceptable. ATLS, ACLS & PALS required for providers not board certified or truly BE in EM. Must hold a Texas IMLC (or equivalent) and be authorized to practice in Texas.
