Overview
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook and bring your passion for food to life! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, executing menu items with precision, and supporting the overall flow of our food service operations. Your culinary expertise will help create memorable dining experiences for our residents while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist in assembling menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
● Execute cooking tasks with skill and efficiency
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols
● Support menu planning by assisting with ingredient prep and portioning for daily service
● Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation to minimize waste
● Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
● Assist in catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service to guests
Skills
● Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly valued
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings
● Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
● Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
● Experience with menu planning, food service, and catering is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
● Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
