Sodexo's Campus Dining segment has a new opportunity for a Food Service Manager 1 at Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota. Oversees a daily operation in a Resident Dining hall managing day to day food service. Coaching, training and supervising hourly staff, ensuring excellent customer service, HACCP, Ordering, Inventory, schedule and daily labor. About the job Join a leadership role overseeing multi-functional food service operations with a focus on client satisfaction, retention, and operational performance. This position supports revenue and profit goals through disciplined execution of programs, safety standards, and daily operational oversight while fostering an engaged and well-supported team. Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management. What you'll bring Food service management experience with focus on purchasing, inventory, food cost analysis, and forecasting. Experience using automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and workplace safety standards. Experience supporting quality, patient satisfaction, and service delivery across operations. Proven success coaching teams, providing feedback, and supporting compliance and engagement.
