General Summary

Under minimal supervision, this position provides professional accounting support to the General Accounting and/or department related to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with the Company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records that validate the accuracy of accounting information and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process.
• Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records to support strategic decision making.
• Participate in cross training efforts for developmental purposes and departmental coverage.
• Prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed that support the General Accounting function.
• Participate in the review of the monthly financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision making.
• Respond to inquiries made by upper management related to financial package to support strategic decision making.
• Review of various accounting reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented.

Education

Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting

Work Experience

3-5 Years Accounting experience preferred Experience with construction accounting and Viewpoint Vista required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Advanced computer spreadsheet skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP Analytical skills

Base Salary Range: $63,481.00 - $95,221.00Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
