Summary We are seeking a Contractor - Production Asset Lead to join the team in Goleta, CA for up to 6 months, with the potential for full-time conversion. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all production assets on the manufacturing floor. You will lead calibrated equipment oversight and administration, structure proof load planning and execution, and all media management. The role requires bridging between engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, IT, and business systems to create safe, documented, and efficient workflows.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead for load testing to ensure safe operation, create lifting plans, and evaluate current lifting practices.
- Translate proof load requirements into documented test plans and coordinate with engineering disciplines to develop standard specifications for load testing.
- Ensure requirements traceability and verification through successful test execution.
- Control and manage calibrated tooling and become a key point of contact for receiving and distribution of tools for manufacturing.
- Serve as a technical gate keeper of tooling and torque verification activities as needed.
- Manage all media equipment used in production and testing environments, including cameras, video recorders, microphones, and related accessories.
- Highschool GED and strong foundational technical skills gained through handson experience, with additional preference for candidates who have vocational training, trade school education, or a demonstrated combination of relevant skills and practical experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly and testing production hardware.
- Experience with calibrated tooling including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, torque drivers, torque analyzers, load cells, digital readouts, etc.
- Experience using cranes, hoists, overhead lifting equipment, rigging hardware, manual jacks, pallet lifts and load-bearing structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience with PDM, Costpoint, and TIPQA.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards such as, NASA-STD-8719.9 and NASA-STD-5001, and similar.
- Training or certification with ERP systems, forklifts, scissor lifts, crane operation.
