Job Requirements POSITION SUMMARY The Facility Technician III provides skilled maintenance duties in Facilities across the Health First Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) including Inspections, Repairs, Preventative Maintenance of buildings, grounds and applicable equipment. The Facility Technician III ensure all the safety, efficiency and reliability of facilities by leveraging comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across all on and off site locations. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Conducts preventive maintenance inspections, adjustments, and repairs on applicable equipment, machinery, facility locations, and systems for constant safe and efficient operations, while ensuring compliance with established Health First schedules and procedures.
- Delivers excellent service to Associates, patients, and visitors, ensuring professionalism and courtesy in each interaction.
- Diagnoses, repairs, and restores compliant function to all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, such as calibrating, commissioning, and replacement of components, while applying Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards.
- Documents and tracks all work conducted within the Computerized Management System (TMA/FMP) by twenty-four (24) hours of performing work, ensuring organized and accurate maintenance records.
- Receives and promptly responds to emergency requests such as STATs, mitigating disruption of optimal services, while ensuring the safety of Associates, patients and visitors.
- Maintains, stores and operates applicable tools, equipment and machinery in a proper manner, ensuring cleaning, lubrication is done routinely and properly.
- Researches, requisitions, and tracks inventory for applicable tools and replacement components and materials to support proper and timely maintenance activities.
- Provides coaching and guidance to junior Facility Technicians by driving development in expertise and skills, while ensuring adherence to facilities compliance standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Work Experience: Three (3) years' experience in comparable trade work.
- Licensure:
- Journeyman Certificate licensure prior to start date and maintained.
- Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and maintained.
- Certification: None
- Work Experience In Lieu of Licensure: Additional Five (5) years' of journeyman level trade work experience.
- Work Experience In Lieu of Education: Additional two (2) years' journeyman level trade work experience.
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Ability to provide and maintain required hand tools (job-specific power tools provided).
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, applicable codes, and blueprint reading.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance, calibration, commissioning, and repair of facility equipment.
- Basic skills in carpentry, welding, and soldering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing duties, and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Education: Graduate of applicable Trade School.
- Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.
- May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
- May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead.
- May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.
- May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
- Workspace may vary from open to confined.
- May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma.
- Work Experience: Three (3) years' clinical experience.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida or endorsement.
- Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.

- Ability to access, interpret data, and educate members of the health care team, patients, and significant others of various ages.

- Possesses a working knowledge of available community resources.
- Demonstrates ability to recommend appropriate nursing interventions and alternatives in the care planning process.
- Demonstrates dependability, reliability, and flexibility.
- Demonstrates appropriate delegation and supervision of patient care activities within the health care setting.
- Demonstrates effective communication with other members of the health care team and promotes effective team functioning.
- Demonstrates effective and safe clinical practice as evidenced by skills fair demonstrations, completion of yearly competency assessment and age specific checklist.
- Demonstrates ability to recommend appropriate nursing interventions and alternatives in the care planning process.
- Work Experience: Prior experience in wound care.
