Assistant Port Engineer

Ensure regulatory compliance and vessel management. Job Description Assist with maintenance and overhauls of US Government owned vessels under supervision of lead Port Engineer. Qualifications Minimum of one-year experience as a Port Engineer managing shipyard dry-docking availability valued at least three million dollars. Minimum of three years shipboard engineering experience on Government or commercial ocean-going ships of not less than 4,000 HP as Chief Engineer, First Assistant, or Second Assistant Engineer. Minimum of five years combination of education and experience including engineering degree and shipyard management or Port Engineer roles. US citizen with active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain clearance. Preferred: USCG 2nd Assistant Engineers license or higher.
