Senior Research Associate, Preclinical Pharmacology

Senior Research Associate supporting preclinical pharmacology programs at a biotech company. The role involves executing in vivo mouse studies for oncology and inflammation models, performing biomarker analyses, and generating data to characterize drug mechanism of action and efficacy.

Responsibilities

• Execute PK/PD, tolerability, and efficacy studies in mouse oncology and inflammation models under study lead direction
• Perform mouse handling, dosing via multiple routes, tumor measurements, and terminal tissue and blood collection
• Conduct Western blotting and multi-color flow cytometry to measure target degradation and immune cell phenotyping
• Maintain cell lines, support cell-based assays, and prepare tissues for biomarker analysis
• Record and analyze experimental data, present results at team meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

• BS in Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, or related field with 8+ years experience, or MS with 4+ years experience
• Industry experience conducting in vivo pharmacology studies in mice
• Proficiency in mouse dosing routes (PO, IP, SC, IV) and blood collection and tissue harvest
• Hands-on experience with oncology models (xenograft, syngeneic) and murine inflammation or immunology models
• Demonstrated proficiency in Western blotting and flow cytometry analysis
• Sterile mammalian cell culture technique and working knowledge of IACUC regulations
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent studies
