Assembler I- 2nd Shift

Overview Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Assembler I - 2nd Shift at our Youngsville, NC location. They engineer, manufacture, and ship products related to electrical power distribution to six different segments, including Utilities, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Assembler I - 2nd Shift role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday – Friday. With full-time employment you are offered benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision), a 401K match plan, and vacation. The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour. The core hours are 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Salary information is a general guideline and may vary based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications. What You’ll Do Build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies. Perform visual inspections of material before and after assembly. Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product. Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations. Provide process and safety improvement ideas. Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with standard operating procedures. Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair. Previous soldering experience. Position Criteria: Basic working knowledge and experience with computers. Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility. Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures. Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime; willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to distinguish colored wiring. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting.
