\tClient Test & Evaluation is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support Flight test in Tukwila, WA. \tThe Flight test Manufacturing Engineer is an assembly and installation engineer within Client Test and Evaluation (BT&E) that supports installation planning by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Client ), interface with procurement (including tracking), and supports during the build/installation.
\tThe primary focus of this position is to lead, manage and support flight test design & planning efforts located in Tukwila, WA. These efforts represent a wide variety of development airplane programs primarily in support of ClientCommercial Airplanes (BCA) and Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MS&B).
\tManufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.
\tPosition Responsibilities:
\tParticipates in program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
\tLeads and works with Test Project Management, Design Engineering, and Program IE to develop and maintain integrated build plans.
\tDevelops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
\tCoordinates with fabrication personnel and lead coordination with procurement/supplier management personnel.
\tWorks across groups to coordinate and track part status and shipping with supplier management and MMO.
\tDevelops and documents BT&E ME process and tools for Flight test programs, new job practices, techniques and standards.
\tPrepares build analyses and cost estimate reports.
\tLeads integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
\tLeads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
\tManages the program work statement making sure it meets cost and schedule requirements.
\tLeads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
\tHelps develop schedule to align with integrated build plan, program needs, and fabrication capabilities.
\tDrafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business requirements.
\tWorks under minimal direction.
\tLeads the creation of training material and tutorials for Design & Planning ME team.

\tEducation / Experience:
\tEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
