Welder/Fabricator

Description WELDER / FABRICATOR DHT Group | Reese, Michigan DHT Group is looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team at our Reese, Michigan location. We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a fabrication shop — someone who can take a project from measurements and layout through fit-up, welding and final inspection. WHAT YOU’LL DO Perform welding and metal fabrication for a variety of shop projects, repairs and components Measure, lay out, cut, fit, tack, weld and finish fabricated parts Read and work from prints, drawings, measurements and specifications Use grinders, saws, cutting equipment and other common fabrication tools Inspect completed work for proper fit, dimensions and weld quality Assist with fabrication, modification and repair projects throughout the operation Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Work with shop personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Previous welding and/or metal fabrication experience Strong fabrication, layout and fit-up skills Ability to accurately use tape measures, squares and other measuring tools Ability to read and interpret prints or fabrication drawings Mechanical aptitude and solid problem-solving skills Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safe work practices Experience with multiple welding processes and fabrication equipment is a plus.
