Substitute Bus DriverThe Glenwood Community School District is currently taking applications for Substitute Bus Drivers. Starting wage $53.50/route. Position goal: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program. Performance responsibilities include obeying all traffic laws, observing all mandatory safety regulations for school buses, maintaining discipline when students are on bus, keeping assigned bus clean, keeping to assigned schedule, checking bus before each operation for mechanical defects, fueling vehicle as required to operate the bus safely, keeping interior and windows of vehicle clean, contacting parents as required for discipline of passenger on bus, attending meetings as required for discipline of passenger on bus, notifying the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness, discharging students only at authorized stops, exercising responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips, transporting only authorized students, reporting all accidents and completing required reports, enforcing regulations against smoking and eating on the bus, and performing other duties as assigned.
