Quality Lead

What We’re Looking For Hood Container is seeking a dynamic leader and change agent to join our team as a Quality and Inventory Lead for our Allentown, PA plant. The role involves conducting internal and external quality audits, documenting and reporting nonconformance, responding to customer inquiries, and directing daily activities of quality auditors within a fulfillment operation. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self‑starter skills will lead to success in this role. How You Will Contribute Manage all inventory transactions, troubleshoot errors, identify root causes, and supply possible solutions to the management team. Review all inventory, including raw goods, identify errors, and direct/follow up on corrections needed. Support the Inventory Department to improve accuracy and efficiency in all plant‑wide inventory processes. Accurately generate required month‑end reporting promptly. Manage and direct physical inventories as needed. Ensure all inventory information is reported to customers as requested. Review and manage aged and obsolete inventory monthly with the scheduler and process disposals. Establish quality standards to assist appropriate departments with new product development. Support all departments with quality concerns and provide customer assistance regarding quality issues, job specifications, and customer products. Initiate policies, procedures, and guidelines related to customer quality, product safety, and product legality. Support Management with all audits. Lead and direct daily activities of shift quality auditors. What It Takes Ability to work with minimal supervision. Organized and detail oriented. Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills. Excellent mathematical skills, computer literate, and detail-oriented. Background in quality and inventory roles. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Work overtime and odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements. Ability to write, audit, and evaluate procedures and quality/inventory systems for compliance standards. HS Diploma/G.E.D. Required. ASQ Certified Quality Auditor Desired.
