Full-Time Pre-K Assistant Teacher – Eagan, MN
$18.00–$22.00/hour | Afternoon Schedule | Paid Holidays & PTO

Looking for a rewarding full-time afternoon position working with young children? Lake Area Discovery Center is hiring a Pre-K Assistant Teacher at Faithful Shepherd's Discovery Center in Eagan, MN .

This position works alongside our Lead Teacher and teaching team to support Pre-K students during the afternoon portion of their school day. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for consistent part-time, weekday afternoon hours in a supportive early childhood education environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Lead Teacher with the daily Pre-K classroom routine
• Engage with children during learning activities, centers, outdoor play, and transitions
• Support a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Assist with afternoon activities and end-of-day routines
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
• Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, assistants, and on-site staff
• Follow LADC policies and Minnesota childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool or Pre-K children is preferred
• Early Childhood Education coursework or experience is a plus
• Dependable, positive, and comfortable working as part of a teaching team
• Must meet applicable Minnesota childcare licensing requirements

Compensation & Benefits

• $18.00–$22.00 per hour , based on education and experience
• Full-time, year-round (12-month) position
• 64 hours PTO
