We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated special education professional to support a caseload of 8 students in a dynamic setting that blends both self-contained and inclusion classroom environments. This contract assignment begins on August 31, 2026, and offers a full-time schedule (40 hours per week), giving you the chance to invest in each student's growth and success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid cross-categorical special education licensure required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in grades 4–6, is highly valued
- Ability to adapt instruction and personalize learning to diverse needs, supporting inclusion and self-contained settings equally
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom culture
- Organizational skills for documentation and compliance with IEPs and educational goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Provide differentiated instruction within both self-contained and inclusion classrooms
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success
- Support positive behavioral interventions and foster a safe, respectful learning environment
- Maintain detailed progress records and participate in regular IEP meetings
- Communicate regularly with families to share updates and strategies
