Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time- 3 days per week) for Gastroenterology Practice in Lawrenceville, GA

Our well-established and growing gastroenterology practice in Lawrenceville is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider looking for a flexible schedule, a supportive work environment, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on patient care. Key areas of focus are outpatient follow-ups, pre-procedure workups, reviewing results with patients and management of medications.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions

• Reviewing medical histories to understand patients' present health concerns

• Performing routine exams and/or ordering tests and assessments

• Ordering prescriptions and medications

• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits

• Review laboratory, pathology, diagnostic testing and imaging results under physician supervision

• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians

• Educate patients regarding GI disorders, medications, procedures, and preventive care

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

• Coordinate care with referring providers and specialists as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Previous experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine or a related specialty

• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
