Radiology Tech | Overland Park, Kansas

An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled X-ray Technologist to provide expert imaging services on a contract basis. This position calls for a motivated professional with a strong background in radiology to support diagnostic imaging within a dynamic healthcare environment.


Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract duration
• Four 10-hour mid shifts per week, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Rotating on-call schedule:
  • One night on-call per week (Tuesday, 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
  • On-call weekend every 6-7 weeks (Friday 10:30 PM - Monday 6:30 AM)
  • Regular weekend coverage every third weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
  • Start date: June 1

Qualifications:

• Current and valid ARRT certification
• Kansas state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proven experience operating X-ray equipment and performing diagnostic radiographic exams
• Proficiency with safety protocols and patient care best practices
• Strong communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Operate advanced imaging equipment to capture clear diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety throughout
• Prepare and position patients accurately for all imaging exams, demonstrating sensitivity and care
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within the electronic health records system
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Follow all safety guidelines, including radiation protection and equipment maintenance protocols
