Cardiothoracic and Vascular Intermediate Care Post-Surgical


unit that provides comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring less monitoring than ICU, but more than a Medical-Surgical unit.? Nurses on 6T have the opportunity to provide care to a wide array of patients undergoing various surgical procedures including, but not limited to, coronary artery bypass grafts, heart valve repairs and replacements, thoracic and aortic aneurysm repairs, lobectomies, VATS, advanced wound therapies, limb amputations, peripheral vascular bypass grafts and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations. In addition, the clinical nurse on 6T experiences the management of drains, tubes, invasive lines, interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates and monitors cardiac drips.

Were Looking For:

• 
  Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  
  



• 
  Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads
  
  



• 
  Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  
  



• 
  Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  
  



• 
  Strong critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgment

• 
  As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
