Your Role as a Dental Hygienist

As an RDH, you'll be an important preventive healthcare provider and clinical partner within the practice.

• Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene carePerform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, debridement, fluoride, and other hygiene services within your scopeAssess periodontal health, perform periodontal charting, and identify areas of clinical concernCapture diagnostic x-rays and maintain thorough clinical documentationEducate and motivate patients on oral health, home care, periodontal needs, and preventive treatmentIdentify periodontal and restorative concerns and collaborate with the dentist on comprehensive treatment recommendationsAdminister local anesthesia and adjunctive periodontal therapies when licensed and appropriateBuild trusted relationships that keep patients engaged in their long-term oral healthMaintain exceptional infection-control, OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical standards

What We're Looking For

• Active Connecticut Dental Hygienist licenseGraduate of an accredited dental hygiene programCurrent CPR certification1+ year of dental hygiene experience preferred *Open to all experience levelsLocal anesthesia certification preferredStrong periodontal assessment and patient-education skillsExcellent communication and a gentle, patient-first approachCollaborative, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care
