Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach/Athletic Operations

Position Overview Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach / Athletic Operations – Claremont, CA Responsibilities Assist the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach in developing and implementing training and instruction for practices and competitions. Complete all required administrative paperwork promptly, including team travel logistics, practice plans, scholar‑athlete development, and compliance documentation. Recruit and retain academically qualified student‑athletes for the Claremont Colleges. Ensure compliance with NCAA Division III, CMS Athletics, and SCIAC rules; report any violations to the CMS Compliance Department. Maintain required certifications (concussion management, mental health resources, sexual violence prevention, First Aid/CPR/AED). Represent CMS Athletics positively within the SCIAC and on a regional/national level. Assist the Sport Operations team with Games Management during the off‑season, including facility setup, event operations, and student‑worker supervision. Support additional administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach or the Sport Operations Department. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Collegiate playing and coaching experience; experience recruiting academically focused student‑athletes. Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the College’s authorized vehicle policy. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ability to mentor students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to perform physical tasks up to 50lbs (e.g., arena setup, equipment handling). Additional Information Full‑time, 11‑month position with regular hours that may extend to evenings, weekends, and travel. Salary: $17.50–$19.00 per hour.
