Public Relations - Account Director

Tier One Partners is seeking a highly motivated Account Director with deep B2B technology PR experience to join our team.This position is a highly client-facing leadership role focused on developing and executing strategic public relations programs, building trusted client relationships, and leading teams to deliver outstanding results. We're looking for someone who brings a strong understanding of the B2B technology landscape, a passion for earned media, and the ability to translate clients' business objectives into creative, measurable PR strategies. This role requires strategic thinking, resourcefulness, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities while inspiring teams to do their best work.Qualifications:6–8 years of PR and earned media experience, preferably in a B2B technology PR agency environmentProven track record developing and leading successful public relations programs that deliver measurable business resultsDeep understanding of B2B technology industries, including AI, cloud, data and analytics, cybersecurity, experience in fintech or digital health is a plusStrong media relations expertise, including established relationships with relevant business, technology, and industry reportersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling content and provide strategic counsel to clientsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts, build trusted relationships, and anticipate client needsExperience leading, mentoring, and motivating account teams to deliver high-quality workStrong understanding of program measurement approaches, account financial management, and resource allocationAbility to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing strategic thinking or attention to detailCollaborative, solutions-focused approach with a proactive mindset, creative instincts, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client serviceA successful team member in this role will:Lead the development and execution of strategic PR programs that align with clients' marketing and business objectives, including annual plans, campaigns, and ongoing initiativesServe as the day-to-day strategic lead on multiple client accounts, building trusted relationships through proactive counsel, effective communication, and strong problem-solving skillsDevelop and oversee creative, results-driven earned media strategies that leverage industry trends, compelling storylines, and timely opportunities to secure impactful coverageLead by example in media relations, bringing creativity, curiosity, and strong media relationships to proactive and reactive opportunitiesDevelop and oversee high-quality written content, including strategic plans, press releases, bylined articles, and other thought leadership materialsManage and motivate account teams, providing clear direction, actionable feedback, and professional development opportunities while ensuring the highest standards of client serviceOversee account operations, including budgets, hours, staffing, and expenses, to ensure programs are managed efficiently and effectivelyEstablish meaningful program measurement goals, track results, and translate performance into actionable insights and recommendations for clientsAnticipate client needs, identify opportunities to strengthen programs, and proactively recommend new ideas and approaches that drive resultsCollaborate with agency leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions, support client growth, and contribute to the agency's continued successWork EnvironmentThis is a full-time hybrid role and you will be expected to work from our Boston office at least twice per week, depending on client and team needs.
