Imperial Brady is a great place to take that next step if you're eager for your next opportunity.The Purchasing Agent will be a product expert, interacting with the Sales team and suppliers to meet our customers needs. The Purchasing Agent will work closely with suppliers on pricing, inventory availability, new items, and complementary/substitute items.You will:Manage the creation and maintenance of all items for assigned vendor linesMaintain a clear line of communication with our suppliers and Sales teamNegotiate and resolve supplier performance issues impacting costs and customer service.Partner with Sales to gain insight into customer needsUtilize existing tools and systems to analyze and take action on current inventory positions and trendsAchieve in-stock service level targets, response times, and inventory need datesContinue improvement of KPIs for out-of-stock items and inventory turnsYou have:A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience2 - 3 years of buying and inventory/supply chain experience requiredProficiency in Microsoft ExcelA collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationshipsWe offer a dynamic environment for our more than 13,000 employees to work, learn, and grow professionally.
