Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Data Engineer for an opportunity supporting enterprise People Data, HR analytics, and modern data architecture initiatives. This role is ideal for a data professional who enjoys building scalable data pipelines, connecting complex source systems, enabling governed reporting layers, and delivering trusted analytics solutions for business stakeholders.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment with cross-functional teams across HRIS, IT, analytics, vendors, and business leadership. The Data Engineer will play a key role in strengthening enterprise data capabilities, improving data quality, and supporting workforce analytics through modern cloud and data platform technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Support Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence setup, configuration, validation, security alignment, and HCM analytics enablement.
- Design enterprise data architecture, data integrations, data models, semantic layers, reporting datasets, and technical documentation.
- Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, and related modern data engineering tools.
- Implement data governance practices including data quality, lineage, metadata management, access controls, and PII protection.
- Partner with HRIS, IT, vendors, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable People Data and workforce analytics solutions.
- Troubleshoot data issues, validate source-to-report accuracy, and support scalable analytics delivery across business functions.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $90 per hour.
- Work schedule: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.
- Location options: Jacksonville, FL, Dallas, TX, or Lewisville, TX.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support implementation and enablement of Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence and Oracle Fusion HCM analytics.
- Build and optimize enterprise data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake.
- Design governed data models, reporting layers, semantic datasets, and documentation for analytics consumption.
- Partner with technical and business teams to support People Data architecture, workforce analytics, and enterprise reporting.

- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics engineering, or a closely related data role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM and Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.
- Advanced experience with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Medallion architecture.
- Strong SQL skills with experience designing, querying, validating, and optimizing enterprise datasets.
- Experience implementing data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, access controls, and PII protection.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable data architecture, reporting models, and analytics solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with HRIS, IT, vendors, analytics teams, and business stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving, documentation, and data validation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics engineering.
- Background supporting workforce analytics, HR data, HCM reporting, or People Data environments.
- Experience creating enterprise data models, semantic layers, and curated reporting datasets.
- Prior experience in large-scale data modernization, cloud data platforms, or enterprise analytics transformation initiatives.
