Private Wealth Services Associate

$249,000 – $325,000 annually

A leading global law firm is seeking a Mid to Senior-Level Associate to join its Private Wealth Services Practice in San Diego. This role offers the opportunity to advise high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, and trust administration matters within a collaborative and nationally recognized practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and implement advanced estate planning structures, including Revocable Trusts, ILITs, SLATs, IDGTs, and GRATs
• Advise on transfers involving QSBS stock, business interests, and real estate assets
• Manage complex trust and estate administrations, including trust modifications, decantings, mergers, and terminations
• Conduct legal research involving multijurisdictional and cross-border estate planning issues
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys while independently managing sophisticated matters

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of trusts and estates or private wealth planning experience
• Strong drafting, research, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience handling sophisticated estate planning for high-net-worth clients
• Prior law firm experience preferred
• LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus
