Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote but connected to a supportive hospice center facility that functions as a hub for patient care. The virtual work environment provides flexibility while ensuring team collaboration through regular meetings, secure digital communication, and video conferencing platforms. You will routinely interact with fellow health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, and mental health staff, working collaboratively to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments using tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), ensuring accurate diagnosis and evaluation of each patient’s mental health status.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique cultural needs and circumstances of each patient and family, emphasizing the importance of tailored interventions.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and continuously assess patient progress while adapting care strategies as necessary to optimize mental health outcomes.

• Document all client interactions, treatment records, and clinical reports accurately and timely, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational protocols.

• Coordinate care by serving as a liaison between patients, families, and a network of treatment providers, ensuring seamless access to additional services when needed.

• Offer education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health resources and coping strategies related to cancer treatment.

• Supervise and mentor interns or junior staff, fostering an environment of learning and professional development within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on patients diagnosed with cancer and their families, providing essential emotional and psychological support through a challenging and often traumatic journey. The LCSW will address a spectrum of concerns, including grief, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders, employing trauma-informed care principles to create a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current State Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
