What You’ll Do Assist teacher in implementing developmental experiences for children in language, intellectual, social-emotional, and physical development, including health and safety skill development. Assist in managing the classroom to maintain a safe, healthy, positive environment. Observe and identify needs of classroom children with minimal direction. Assist with toileting and diapering procedures as needed. Perform personal care procedures as directed and trained. Help children in and out of vehicle restraint systems. Interact physically with children outdoors and indoors, including safe floor-time. Complete and submit program paperwork accurately and promptly. Supervise children at all times, ensuring no child is left unattended. Physical Demands Occasional requirements: walk, climb or balance; taste or smell; drive or have a valid driver’s license; work irregular or extended hours; twist at the neck or trunk; read typed or written word; lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly required: stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands or arms; use repeated hand, arm or finger motions. Frequently required: talk or hear; lift up to 10 pounds.
