The Job
The Purchasing Department is recruiting for a Purchasing Manager who manages the department's program for procurement of goods, supplies, equipment and services for use by County departments, districts and affiliates and monitors compliance of the procurement program with County, agency and policies; develops policy and procedures.

Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Must possess a completed/awarded Bachelor's degree in purchasing/supply management, business/public administration, economics, accounting, finance or related field. EXPERIENCE Must possess five (5) years of (full-time equivalent) experience of procurement or direct buying experience for goods and services AND two (2) years of full-scope supervisory experience.
SUBSTITUTION
