We know how to identify and implement innovative solutions for our client's toughest challenges.Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Buda, Texas area, specifically on IH35. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.Required Experience:0-2 years of construction labor experience (commercial, industrial, residential, roadway, heavy civil, warehouse, etc.)Preferred Experience:Experience in guardrail installation and repairRoadway or tollway maintenance experienceConcrete form work, concrete placement, and repairsWheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift, Asphalt Roller, etc operatorMOT Certifications (traffic control)Clean driving record is essentialCDL A License a plusQualifications:High School Diploma/GEDMaintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)Knowledge of local driving rules and regulationsCarry out simple arithmetic functionsMaintain proper safety equipment required for each jobKnowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technologyAbility to use smart phone and applicationsAbility to adjust to changing work scheduleAbility to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditionsCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be requiredAbility to operate hand/power toolsSchedule: Full time; Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, with some night and weekend work if needed. Must be able to work during snow and ice events. Will be placed on on-call schedule.Day shift starting rate of $18.50/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience.
