Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Position: Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Coverage Requirement: Full-Time or 14 days per month minimum Shifts: Hourly Shift Options:

• 6:00 AM-2:00 PM
• 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
• 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

Coverage: Weekdays and weekends Call: Level I Trauma call required Schedule: Must be comfortable working both day and night shifts

South Carolina PA License: REQUIRED ACLS or ATLS: REQUIRED - candidate must have at least one South Carolina DEA: REQUIRED South Carolina CDS: REQUIRED

Important: South Carolina DEA and South Carolina CDS must be in place before an application can be requested from Parallon. The DEA must be in place before the CDS can be applied for/issued.

• Orthopedic trauma surgery coverage
• Level I Trauma coverage
• OR responsibilities
• ICU coverage
• Hospital rounding
• Overnight call
• Post-operative visits
• ED support
• Orthopedic trauma consultations
• Post-op patient care
• No clinic work

Daily Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients

Candidates should have experience and be comfortable with:

• Fracture reductions
• Washouts
• Level I or Level II trauma
• First call
• Orthopedic trauma call
• Day and night shifts
• Hospital rounding
• OR responsibilities
