Job Summary

We are seeking a Cost Savings Engineer with experience in Cost Reduction, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), and product cost optimization . This role will lead cross-functional initiatives to identify, validate, and implement cost-saving opportunities across products, materials, components, specifications, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead structured VA/VE and cost-reduction initiatives across the product portfolio.
Identify and prioritize cost-saving opportunities based on savings potential, feasibility, and business impact.
Develop and maintain cost-savings pipelines, scorecards, milestones, and project tracking .
Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to evaluate cost-reduction opportunities.
Assess components, materials, suppliers, specifications, and manufacturing processes for savings opportunities.
Coordinate design changes, prototypes, testing, qualification, and production implementation.
Establish project ownership, timelines, validation requirements, and savings impact.
Ensure cost changes maintain safety, quality, reliability, performance, regulatory compliance, manufacturability, serviceability, and customer experience .
Work with Finance and Purchasing to develop business cases, validate savings, and track realized financial impact.
Continuously identify new cost-reduction opportunities and maintain a strong opportunity funnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
4+ years of experience in cost reduction, cost engineering, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), or similar.
Experience working with product costs, materials, components, suppliers, and manufacturing processes .
Strong cross-functional project management and stakeholder communication skills.
Ability to analyze cost opportunities, develop business cases, and drive implementation through production.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
