Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Shift hours vary per week
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Apply ionizing radiation to diverse patient population according to physician prescriptions
• Operate radiation-producing equipment utilizing proper radiation safety measures
• Perform complex and precise technical procedures
• Participate in quality control monitoring and daily warm-up procedures
• Complete patient assessments and provide age-appropriate care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Document appropriately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Simulate new patients and patients with new treatment fields according to physician orders
• Educate patients and families on expected side effects and treatment procedures
• Schedule patients appropriately and communicate any changes
• Wear radiation safety badges at all times and practice universal precautions
• Serve as clinical instructor for radiation therapy students
• Associates degree from accredited radiation therapy program required
• ARRT-T (ARRT Radiation Therapy) certification required upon hire
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years experience in radiation therapy preferred
• Must demonstrate ability to treat and simulate patients
