About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership in the development and communication of the business unit's long-term vision, goals, and growth strategies. The successful candidate will partner with the SVP, Finance, and Corporate Legal on various operational and business matters, including bidding strategy, risk mitigation, and contract negotiations. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, with a focus on the safe, timely, and budget-compliant delivery of projects. The VP of Operations will also be responsible for team development, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, and championing safety in the workplace programs. Candidates for the Vice President of Operations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of 5 years' in operations leadership within the energy or industrial construction sector and over 10 years' of experience managing large-scale heavy civil projects with proven P&L responsibility are required. The role demands a deep understanding of heavy civil construction, regulatory requirements, and best practices, as well as strong financial acumen, technical literacy, and experience in contract negotiation and risk assessment. The VP of Operations will also be the primary executive liaison with key clients, responsible for strengthening relationships and identifying future opportunities.
