Interventional Cardiologist

Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship-trained Interventional Cardiologist to join its established, hospital-employed Heart & Vascular practice. This opportunity offers a supportive environment within a large team of physicians and advanced practitioners. Practice Info Well-established, hospital-employed Heart & Vascular practice. New outpatient clinic located on the main campus of the hospital. Staffing includes 7 Physicians (Interventional, Non-Invasive, CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery), 5 Advanced Practitioners, 20 Clinical Staff, 14 Clerical Staff, and 2 EKG Techs. Case load includes 35 patients/day during office week, 30-40 patients/day during inpatient rounding week, and 12-14 patients/day during cath lab week. Equipment includes Phillips ECHO Systems, Phillips XPER Hemodynamics, Cath Lab Phillips Intellispace Cardiovascular, and EHR - Meditech Expance. Teaching opportunities are available, with eligibility for Clinical Adjunct Faculty status with Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Compensation Option #1: Base salary of $748,530 (50%tile MGMA for those just completing training) with additional compensation for experience, guaranteed for 2 years. Can be switched to a wRVU production contract when exceeding target. Option #2: Base salary of $928,311 (75%tile MGMA) guaranteed for one year and then switched to a wRVU production contract. 5% less for those not yet boarded, salary adjusted accordingly upon board certification. Eligible to earn additional compensation by joining our CERP (Pay for Call) Program. Bonus Incentives: excellent bonus incentives up to 10% of salary. Medical School Loan Repayment: repay up to $200,000 ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment). Residency Stipend: up to $25,000 (requires up to 2 year service commitment). Sign on Bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100,000 (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2-4 years). Benefits 29 PTO (paid time off) days. Additional 5 days PTO when producing 75%tile wRVUs. Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company. Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made insurance, in an amount of $2,000,000, per claim/$6,000,000, aggregate. Health Insurance: physician pays small premium, deducted from paycheck. Shift & Schedule Office Hours/Work Schedule: 7a to 6p, Monday thru Thursday. Friday 7a to 12 noon. Call Schedule: 1:3 weekend rotation. 1 night/week rotation. STEMI call shared with 2 other interventional cardiologists. Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible.
