Position Summary The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as described by a licensed physician. The PT administers treatments and physical agents prescribed by a referring physician in order to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. The PT assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (PTA, PT Tech). This person participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities, and can participate in QA/PI activities on a monthly basis. The PT provides input in formulating budgets, assists in evaluating department performance versus budget controls, and takes appropriate action to remain within budget guidelines. The PT ensures that patient changes are accurate and entered on a timely basis and participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs. Participate in departmental operational aspects and maintain performance improvement activities. Contribute to quarterly QA/PI activities and budget formulation. Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient changes. Participate in infection control, equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs. Education / Work Experience Minimum 1 year of prior experience in all aspects of physical therapy is preferred. Current State Physical Therapy licensure. Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or an accredited college/university with a certificate in Physical Therapy. Current Basic CPR and BCLS certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
