About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years; new graduates accepted License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in intermediate level monitoring and medical surgical care - Strong teamwork skills - Ability to manage a fast-paced environment Description: Patients are admitted via direct admission from associated clinics, physician offices, urgent care facilities, or other hospitals. The patient population consists of adults to geriatrics with diagnoses including dysrhythmias, CHF, acute onset stroke, and Acute Coronary Syndrome or Myocardial Ischemia. There is a focus on patient throughput while providing patient-centered care. All patients are on hardwire telemetry and self-monitored by the RN. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Teamwork is encouraged and supported within the unit. Floating between units may be required based on needs. Weekend shifts are scheduled every other weekend unless otherwise specified. Holidays must be worked as designated in the contract. Compliance with all onboarding requirements is essential for timely start.
