Job Title: Outpatient Psychiatrist Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Work Setting: In-Office with Hybrid Option Available Location: Total Wellness Mental Health, Abilene, TX

Position Overview Total Wellness Mental Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our growing clinical team. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no evenings or weekends, supporting excellent work–life balance. The role is primarily in-office, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule based on clinical needs and provider preference. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult patients in an outpatient setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Deliver high-quality, ethical, patient-centered care
• Comply with all federal, state, and organizational regulations and standards

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Active state medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA registration (or eligibility)
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Work Schedule & Location

• Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Primarily in-office, with hybrid (partial remote) option available after onboarding based on role requirements and patient needs
